Create a Quality Life with Anthony Robbins

“Questions provide the key to unlocking our unlimited potential,” says Robbins. “Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.”

It is in being honest with yourself and having an open internal dialogue that you will place yourself on the path to success. “You and I have that same power at our disposal every moment of the day,” says Robbins. “At the moment, the questions that we ask ourselves can shape our perception of who we are, what we’re capable of, and what we’re willing to do to achieve our dreams.”

How do you really want to live? What gets you most excited? When do you feel stuck? What kind of person will you have to become in order to achieve all that you want? These are some of the questions Robbins suggests you ask yourself and answer honestly.

“The genuine quality of life comes from consistent, quality questions,” says Robbins. If you ask yourself a great question, your mind will automatically focus on finding better answers and solutions.

Conversely, “If you ask a terrible question, you’ll get a terrible answer,” he says. “Your mental computer is ever ready to serve you, and whatever question you give it, it will surely come up with an answer.”

Throughout his career, Robbins has been driven by a single question – what makes the difference in the quality of people’s lives?

He has since come to realize that it is what we ask of ourselves and how well we look inside to find the answers that plays a key role. Not only does this help us understand our own internal motivations, but it also helps provide focus to our thoughts.

Every night before going to sleep, Robbins suggests asking yourself the following three questions: What have I learned today? What have I enjoyed today? What have I improved or contributed today?

Simple questions, yet with powerful effects. “Most people never feel secure because they are always worried that they will lose their job, lose the money they already have, lose their spouse, lose their health, and so on,” says Robbins.

“The only true security in life comes from knowing that every single day you are improving yourself in some way, that you are increasing the caliber of who you are and that you are valuable to your company, your friends, and your family.”

In asking yourself the above three questions, you can work on improving yourself each and every day.

Every individual has the right to live a life of fulfillment and questions are the key to opening that door. “The power was given to you at the moment you were born,” says Robbins.

“Its source is unlimited. And when you seize it, you’ll have everything you need to create a life filled with more passion, excitement, confidence, and joy than you’ve ever dreamed. Isn’t it time to unleash the power within and claim your extraordinary potential?”

Taking action with Anthony Robbins

A real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken a new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided.
- Anthony Robbins

Anything is possible with Anthony Robbins

Ask anyone who has attended a Tony Robbins seminar to describe the experience in one word and you are likely to hear words such as “energetic” or “enthusiastic.” If there is one thing that Robbins is known for above all else, it is the passion with which he approaches life. Whether he is speaking to an audience of 2,000 or a single journalist, Robbins can’t help but be passionate.

“Live with passion!” he exclaims. “There is no greatness without a passion to be great, whether it’s the aspiration of an athlete or an artist, a scientist, a parent, or a businessperson.” According to Robbins, a life without passion is a life of un-fulfillment.

But, it doesn’t stop at passion; that alone will not get you to where you want to go.

What you also need are goals and a focus on achieving those goals. “People are not lazy,” says Robbins. “They simply have impotent goals – that is, goals that do not inspire them…In life you need either inspiration or desperation.”

Over the course of Robbins’ career, he has seen numerous athletes, business people and world leaders alike who have failed to achieve their goals, not because they lacked passion, but because they lacked focus.

“One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power,” he says. “Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.”

Robbins believes beyond a doubt in the adage, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” But, there also has to be a strong dedication to that way, to achieving your goals.

“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life’s greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve,” says Robbins.

This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.

With a focus towards a clear set of goals and a steadfast commitment to achieving those goals, Robbins believes that anything is possible.

Without that, we risk losing much of our short and precious time floundering around in a life of mediocrity.

“Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can immediately command when we focus all of our resources on mastering a single area of our lives,” says Robbins.

In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.

Robbins believes that determination is the wake-up call to the human will, allowing each individual to achieve the life of his or her dreams. “We can change our lives,” he says. “We can do, have, and be exactly what we wish.”

The path to Success with Anthony Robbins

Neuro-Linguistic Programming promised instant results; by directly altering unconscious ‘programs’, Robbins and other proponents of NLP believed that it was one of the most promising new therapeutic techniques. Robbins created a new seminar based on NLP and hit the road with it. He began appearing on television and radio stations throughout first, Canada, and then the U.S. In 1989, he launched a series of infomercials to promote his product, which proved to be a very successful strategy.

Since their initial introduction, Robbins’ infomercials have aired on average every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day, somewhere in North America.

Robbins’s confidence in his new “technology of change” was growing. He began to publicly challenge psychiatrists by asking for a chance to work through their toughest cases in front of a live audience.

In one of his early seminars, Robbins brought on stage a woman who had been being treated for her phobia of snakes for over seven years; Robbins cured her in fifteen minutes. Following that experience,

Robbins exclaims, “I became a wild man! I stormed across the country demonstrating to people how quickly change could occur.”

Robbins also began offering personal therapy sessions, initially at a price of $500 per hour. Soon, he was charging $5,000 per hour and was guaranteeing transformation in one session.

“If you see your therapist more than twice, your therapist has no integrity,” Robbins would say. Interest in Robbins’ seminars was growing across the country, the most famous of which was his four-day Unleash the Power Within seminar.

It was here where Robbins demonstrated his now-famous firewalk, whereby people would gain mental discipline and confidence by walking over burning coals, and then apply that principle to other aspects of their lives.

Over the next decade, Robbins’ reputation as a successful entrepreneur and life coach would continue to soar.

He has authored five internationally best-selling books, which have since been published in 14 languages throughout the world. His Personal Power development system has sold over 35 million audiotapes and he has given seminars to over three million people in more than 80 countries.

Robbins also founded Mastery University, bringing together world leaders to train future world leaders.

Today, Robbins is one of the most sought after international speakers and advisors.

From Fortune 500 CEOs to elite athletes to international leaders, including Nelson Mandela and Mother Theresa, Robbins has met with, consulted or advised some of the most influential people in the world. Robbins is also a dedicated philanthropist and humanitarian, having launched the non-profit Anthony Robbins Foundation to help the homeless and disadvantaged and creating the Presidential Summit for America’s Promise.

The Anthony Robbins Companies now include Namale Resort & Spa, Twinlab Corporation, Rebus Publishing, and Discovery Toys.

Robbins serves as Chairman to each, with all of them being geared towards improving people’s quality of life.

When American Express asked its entrepreneurial clients who would be their number one choice of anyone in the world to personally coach them in their business endeavours if price were not an issue, Robbins was selected by an overwhelming margin.

He represents not only financial success but also the passion and energy that entrepreneurs need to take their company to the top.

Awakening the Giant: Tony Robbins is Born

Success is doing what you want to do, when you want, where you want, with whom you want, as much as you want,” says Tony Robbins. For the past 15 years, Robbins has been doing exactly that. As one of the most celebrated motivational speakers and life coaches in the world, Robbins has come from humble beginnings to rise to the top of his game.

He not only talks about how to achieve success; with best-selling books and seminars behind him, as well as being Chairman of five private companies that together generate over half of $1 billion, Robbins has himself become a successful entrepreneur and a model of what it takes in order to achieve your dreams.

Anthony J. Mahavorick was born on February 29, 1960 in Glendora, California, a low-income suburb of Los Angeles. When he was just seven years old, his parents divorced.

His mother would later remarry twice, and he would take on the surname of his second stepfather, Jim Robbins. An ambitious child, Robbins dreamed of one day leaving his modest upbringings behind to become a sports reporter. He attended Glendora High School and in 1977, was elected president of his student body.

The passion, for which Robbins has since become legendary, was not so beneficial to him as a child; at the age of 17, Robbins was kicked out of his house for being “too intense.”

It wasn’t long before Robbins found his niche. After discovering the motivational speaker Jim Rohn, Robbins became inspired.

He began to read personal growth books by the hundreds – over seven hundred in just a few years. He also discovered that he had a personal knack for sales, where his early career excelled.

With his voracious appetite for self-help books and his impressive sales technique, Robbins soon found himself in the seminar business.

Initially, Robbins found himself selling tickets for another popular motivational speaker.

He had an impressive ability to sell tickets to almost anyone, even breaking all the sales records in his first month. By any measure, Robbins was a success and was now in an income bracket beyond his dreams. But, Robbins wanted more for himself.

“I remember the moment my life changed, the moment I finally said, ‘’I've had it! I know I’m much more than I’m demonstrating mentally, emotionally, and physically in my life,” recalls Robbins. “I made a decision in that moment which was to alter my life forever. I decided to change virtually every aspect of my life. I decided I would never again settle for less than I can be.”

Robbins began compiling all the knowledge he had amassed over the years and developed a unique motivational seminar that he himself began delivering to public audiences.

They were fast sellouts. Then, in 1983, Robbins discovered Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a radical and relatively new therapeutic technique that Robbins would go on to study and promote in his seminars.

After only briefly studying the basic principles of NLP, Robbins hit the road with his new seminar; it turned out to be the road that would establish his career and turn him into the success he is today.

Tony Robbins on Learning How to Achieve Bigger Things

We all know the much overused cliché of “taking baby steps” in order to achieve big things.

Maybe that is why so very few people apply this amazingly powerful principle in their lives. I call it a principle because it is absolute and universal.

If you look closely at anything in nature you will notice how physically big plants for instance only consist of a number of smaller parts. It is the culmination of all the parts that make up the “bigness” that can only become and exist through a process of growth.

Tony Robbins often talks about the power of making small incremental changes in our lives. The reason why most people never succeed is because in planning on doing too much all at once, they never take the first step in doing something small.

Incremental advances taps into one of the building blocks of our universe called compounding. Modern science attributes the principle of compounding to the very existence of our universe.

The principle of compounding simply means that growth is incremental. One becomes two, two becomes four, four becomes eight, eight become sixteen ec. This is the way the universe “expands” and this is the way your life expands.

If a big oil tanker sets off on a 5000 mile journey halfway across the globe, obviously it wants to take the shortest route by going in a straight line.

Now what if the navigation system wasn’t properly calibrated? What if his course was off by just half a degree? The answer is simple: the tanker would end up at the wrong continent.

The moral of the story is that we need to really take control of the small things for they are not just important but they are everything. When it comes to fulfilling our dreams or achieving our goals the one very important aspect to keep close to heart is the fact that it only takes one idea to transform everything.

It takes just one small adjustment that over time can have a great effect in our lives.

In the movie The Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher, this principle is beautifully illustrated. The butterfly effect refers to the knock on effect that is created in the universe by a butterfly flapping it’s wings.

At first is seems almost entirely unimportant and insignificant, but over time this can actually create a hurricane or something of great effect by the accumulation of a small effort.

It is the seemingly insignificant steps that eventually create the significant leaps in our lives.

We often avoid taking the very actions necessary to make our lives extraordinary because we see these actions as insignificant. Never underestimate the power of the butterfly effect. Always reinforces your decisions with actions and keep taking action towards what you do want instead of what you fear.

Tony Robbins often talks about the same principle. He calls it “global changes.” Global changes refer to the effect of making just one change that has the power and effect to change a lot of other things simultaneously.

The challenge is that this is different for every person and most people “give up” after “failing” with two or three attempts. Know this: giving up and calling something a failure also creates a butterfly effect.

Consistent and congruent action towards the attainment of any goal is the key to building momentum. Every small action accumulates and builds on the ones before until you create a snowball that will eventually be unstoppable.

It is likely that whatever challenges you are currently facing, it could have been avoided by some simple decisions and actions previously.

James Allen pointed out that our thoughts are “things” and that our thoughts manifest themselves in our lives through circumstances and events.

It is for this reason that we need to guard the doors of our minds for every thought will create a butterfly effect which at first might seem insignificant, but can eventually have great results and consequences in your life. Entertaining negative and destructive thoughts will only serve to strengthen this effect.

Don’t ever take the apparent small things for granted. It all has an effect and it all builds on past effects to shape and direct our lives.

Use your time and your mind wisely and above all “take positive and constructive action everyday towards becoming the kind of person you ultimately want to be”.For more information on Anthony Robbins visit http://www.anthonyrobbinseurope.com

True Decisions… Tony Robbins

Motivation for Entrepreneurs

One of the biggest problems new entrepreneurs have is that they get discouraged. Some get discouraged more easily than others, but regardless of your tolerance level for disappointment, becoming discouraged is a natural emotion for all entrepreneurs.

The difference between a successful entrepreneur and unsuccessful one is how you deal with the discouragement.

I am going to be very blunt, not all of us will become successful. This is an economic impossibility! If everybody on earth had one million dollars, then having one million dollars is the norm.

How can you be rich if everybody has the same amount of money? Wealth is not measured by an actual number; in other words, having a million dollars does not necessarily make you wealthy. My previous hypothetical proves this point. Wealth is measured by how much MORE money you have then everybody else.

If 30% of the people on earth had one million dollars, 60% had a billion dollars, and 10% had a trillion dollars, then the billionaires are “middle-class,” and the so-called “millionaires” are actually poor!

The point is, in order to be “rich” you have to gather more assets than most people, and not base wealth on a specific numerical figure. Why does this matter?

This matters because, as I said, not everybody can be “rich” and the people that “cap” their success to a specific number will eventually find themselves without money.

Overcoming adversity and discouragement will be the difference between entrepreneurs that succeed and entrepreneurs that fail.

Those who let failure defeat them do not have the true entrepreneurial spirit and most likely only enjoy the title of “entrepreneur.” The way I see it, those people can keep the title! I’ll call myself a garbage man if me and my business family make more money than you and yours!

Losing your motivation to make money is the biggest obstacle you will face. Raising capital, obtaining ideas, and forming your business family are minor hindrances compared to losing your motivation.

If you cannot obtain financing, you keep looking; if you cannot create a new idea, you keep thinking; and if you have trouble forming your business family, you keep networking. But, if you lose your motivation, that means that you have given up. There is no solution to this.

I can only give you the tools; I cannot put fire into your heart. With that in mind, I offer the following words…

Whenever you find yourself becoming discouraged and/or losing your motivation, remember what is important to you. Keep your eye on the ball and WRITE DOWN your goals.

Do not be afraid to take chances, and most importantly, stay loyal to your friends, family and/or support base, because they will continue to love and support you no matter the outcome of your entrepreneurial journey. Stay motivated and do not become a poor millionaire!

As Confucius once said, “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
